Our Dream

Wallaby Bobs grew from a dream; an idea that people coming to Kangaroo Island appreciate hosted holiday accommodation. Our six-bedroom home has been converted into two spacious open-plan units, each with three bedrooms so that the dream has become a reality.

Hosts, Wallaby Bob (ask him how he got that name) and Marlene Campbell live in one unit with our lovable black dog, Lucy, and let out the inter-connected unit to holiday makers. We share our large back veranda, patio area with barbecue, and laundry with our guests.

Our Expertise

We have lived on Kangaroo Island for over thirty years, and although this does not necessarily make us locals in the eyes of some old Island families, we have learnt a lot about the Island, its attractions , and its people over the years.

If you come to Kangaroo Island for the fishing , Wallaby Bob will give you all the advice and guidance you require. As an ex-professional fisherman in these waters, he knows where and when various fish species are around. Fish, including King George whiting, garfish, tommy ruffs, trevally, mullet, flathead and snook at various times of the year, together with squid and crabs offer a variety of experiences and tastes.
